A Spicy Start To '17

Firstly, may I wish you all a very happy New Year - I hope that the start of 2017 was a good one.  In turn, a very big 'thank you' to all those who sent lovely greetings to me over the holiday period!

For the first time in a while, I didn't get to do a hike over the Christmas/New Year season.  To be fair, the horrendous weather over last winter in the Lake District kept me away last year, too, and I'm starting to get withdrawl symptoms that can only be sated with clear fresh air, wonderful views and a long challenging walk.  That, hopefully, will be rectified soon.

So, in the absence of shocking weather this year, what stopped me this time around?  Simply the best reason - visiting friends.  I started off on Christmas Eve with a journey south to visit N and his gorgeous wife, who I haven't seen for some time - I still remember him arranging the drive over to Shelsley Walsh in a Morgan with great affection.  On Christmas Day I was chauffeured from their home south of Birmingham over to Ess & Emm to spend the remainder of the Christmas period with a houseful of friends at Banbury.

By New Year's Eve I was back home in Manchester, preparing to see 2017 in at the Cirque Club.  The evening's theme was Bollywood, which immediately meant a wardrobe issue.  Despite bulging at the joints, my wardrobe(s) are a bit sparse when it comes to demure Asian dresses.  The solution - my long sparkling silver 1970's vintage woollen crocheted dress, with (in Dexi style) a rather risqué see-through design.

I really love the slightly sleazy 1970's design with dashings of 1930's delicious decadence, and its now-you-see-it-now-you-don't pattern, especially when worn without a bra and very skimpy nude-coloured panties.  Indeed, I caught a few longing looks from gentlemen thoughout the night as they tried to determine if I actually was wearing underwear at all!

The night itself was actually fairly quiet to begin with, but a steady influx of young and polite Asians soon changed that - with the pumping and rather joyful Bollywood music keeping the dancefloor full all night.  I even had a go at the specific moves myself after being encouraged by a few lovely Asian chaps - who honored me by saying I was a rookie Bollywood dancer already.

A great night, and a great way to see in the New Year and all that it promises.  I have my new 2017 (Bumblebee) calendar pinned up, and have already filled in quite a few weekends with events for the forthcoming year.  2016 has some great memories - I hope 2017 is as enjoyable, too - if not more so!
